Money Matters

The Wealth Generation Generation

About us

Money Matters was founded with the objective of boosting financial literacy among youngsters.

We focus on areas such as the power of compounding, inflation, investments, taxation, and so on.

We assist students in gaining access to one of the most important 21st century skills, how to manage money, which is rarely taught in academics. Which they can learn from instructors who are beaming students themselves bringing their passion for entrepreneurship, research, debate, investments, and economics to the curriculum and from professionals in the field who have mastered it already.

How it works ?

We conduct live sessions in order to develop a community of active learners who serve as the core essence of our platform.

Each session is the result of hours of work combining material from personal experiences, published publications capturing key insights, and discussions with experienced mentors in the subject.

These live webinars are intended to be comprehensive yet digestible, condensing years of knowledge into a single event.

Given that only 27% of the total indian population is financially literate, we at Money Matters believe that sparking the light in the youth can make a huge and lasting impact on the economy overall.

Students enjoyed learning concepts such as inflation, Warren Buffet and Jim Simon. Also, the way you explained the difference between Liabilities and Assets helped them to understand handily.

Webinar 2 : Udaan students attended the Financial Literacy webinar by Mr. Teerth Varma and his team from Money Matters. The session was on the topic of the Basics of investment fundamentals. The team discussed points such as the return of different asset classes, how to decide what to invest , the 2 major exchanges in the indian stock market, an example of a clearer thought process and Is the stock market risky and an example of personal finance.

Most people always talk about savings, but no one talks about how to do it.

But yes, Money Matters is thinking about this, not just thinking about it , they are actually creating awareness and interest in and about how students can do their savings and other concepts of financial literacy, which are really important for today's youth and the sources available for students to become more financially literate.

Giving this information to the students who go to college and schools is really important and it can be beneficial for them in managing their finances in future.

Money Matters has conducted their sessions earlier for our students and they loved it.

We are planning to have more such sessions in the future with Money Matters.

Thakur Public School

Student 1 : The session was very informative and despite being a science student, the umpteen knowledge about finances and commerce was very interesting. They also presented some layman examples that shed some light on the concepts of savings. There was also a question session which was interactive and collectively made it an interesting seminar. Factual and theoretical ideas were also discussed during the event. A good briefing was provided on the greatest economic minds in this century and their life stories were rather interesting. As the seminar was hosted by our school alumni so it was overall a very proud moment for all of us. The session also made us aware of the current economic situation of India and the world and gave us vital tips on saving and utilising our financial resources wisely.

Student 2 : A session on ‘Concepts of Inflation and Compounding’ was conducted by some of our Thakur Public School alumni. The session was aimed at helping us in understanding the value of money in life. Being students from the science stream, we had no knowledge about inflation and economics prior to this session. It was very interesting to learn about India’s economic status and how the value of the Indian rupee depends upon the rate of inflation. The way of explanation was very clear and enjoyable. It was good to see that the ‘Money Matters’ team was open to all kinds of questions from the students’ end. Some unknown facts were conveyed to us which were really interesting to know about. The life stories of great economic legends were extremely inspiring. We were shocked yet excited upon hearing the net- worth of these legends by the team. A minute point to take into notice is that the ‘Money Matters’ team was having difficulties controlling the students because of commotion during the session. Apart from this, the session was immensely informative, especially for those who were unaware of financial literacy and its substantial importance. As students, we look forward to having more sessions with ‘Money Matters’ and the team!
